The large facade windows in the City Residence apartment building became excessively hot due to the morning sun. After applying film, the temperature of the inner surface of the windows dropped by five degrees, and the indoor climate improved significantly.
In the case of City Residence apartment building, we collaborated extensively with both the developer and the builder on window tinting, as the issue was related to the building's large facade glass. The morning sun excessively heated the glass surfaces, and although the building was originally equipped with very specific triple-glazed windows for heat reflection, sound insulation, and their large floor-to-ceiling dimensions, it became apparent that the period of sunshine on the windows was still too long. The glass heated up excessively and did not cool down sufficiently, which affected the indoor climate.
In material selection, we performed a technical analysis and provided the client with very precise data on what would happen to the glass after the film was applied. As a result of the film installation, the internal surface temperature of the glass decreased by five degrees, and as a result, the building's indoor climate improved significantly. We used a lift to carry out the work. The clients for the work were Endover Kinnisvara and Metropoli Ehitus.
