The Volkswagen California was covered with a transparent Xpel Ultimate Plus protective film to protect the brand new camper van's paintwork from stone chips, branches, and off-road damage without altering the car's appearance.
For this Volkswagen California project, the main goal was to ensure the vehicle had the best possible protection even before active use. Campers, by their nature, travel in various environments – gravel roads, forest trails, and in the wild – where the paint surface is at significantly greater risk than in everyday city driving. Therefore, full-body paint protection film is a practical and foresightful solution for such a vehicle.
The entire body was covered with Xpel Ultimate Plus clear protective film, a durable PPF film with self-healing properties. This helps reduce damage caused by stone chips, branches, plants, and other mechanical contact, and keeps the paint surface visually clean even with intense use. Since the car's paint was not to be altered, the clear film was the ideal choice – it preserves the factory look while adding a strong protective layer.
The installation was carried out with meticulous attention to detail, focusing on edges, seams, and larger surfaces to ensure a visually imperceptible result.
